In early March I posted about the Topless Coffee Shop in Grandview, Maine.
Now in early June I am posting about it being burned to the ground.
From WAIB Channel 5, Spirit of Maine, the story.
The Grandview topless coffee shop in Vassalboro was the scene of a fire early Wednesday morning.
The business just opened last February, and has stirred controversy ever since it was first proposed.
Residents both for and against the establishment have turned out at a number of public hearings, some had even proposed an ordinance to ban nudity at businesses in Vassalboro.
The fire broke out just hours after the owner had met with town officials, to discuss expanding his business into a strip club.
The call came in sometime around one o’clock Wednesday morning that the shop on Route three was on fire.
The first crews on the scene found the structure fully engulfed in flames, and the scene only grew from there.
Fire fighters from seven towns helped battle the blaze.
The shop’s owner says that the building is not insured for fire, his family’s home was also housed in the building.
My reaction to this story – No fire insurance? “DUMB ASS!”
Hmmm, you get a bunch of hits from people searching for this place, then it burns down.
I think it’s a conspiracy. Arson!
